GeoJSON Geometry

GeoJSON geometries can sometimes be useful independently of GeoJSON.

Alternatives​

WKBBinary, more compact
WKTText based, slightly more compact, a bit harder to parse (not JSON)
GML GeometryXML based, even more verbose, more complex to parse
